Built inside a working center, by the people who run it
Centerly did not start as a software idea. It started as a list of jobs our own office was tired of doing by hand.
Why we built it
We own and run a licensed child-care center. For years it ran on the best-known software in the industry, and that software kept our records well. But every week our office still read immunization forms and typed in the doses, worked out prorated tuition with a calculator, chased returned payments, checked staff files before a licensing visit, and answered the same questions from prospective parents the next morning.
None of that is hard. All of it takes time from people who would rather be with children, teachers and families. So we built software that does the reading, checking and first draft, and asks a person to confirm.
Our own center came first: every child and staff file, six years of billing history, the enrollment paperwork and the licensing folder. What you see on this site is what that work produced.
What we believe
- Software should do work, not only store it. If a person has to read it, type it, remember it or chase it, that is a job for an agent.
- A person stays in charge. Agents propose and show their work. People confirm.
- Records should hold up. Nothing is silently overwritten. Every change shows who and when.
- Be straight with buyers. Our comparison pages say where other products are the better choice, and our security page says what we do not have yet.
